Monthly Walk Series #3
Date: August 19, 2012- 1pm
Starting Location: Coney Island bound platform of the Neptune Avenue F train stop
How do we tell stories through our bodies? How do we transform a place into a home? This walk will approach questions of spatial storytelling, memory and home as we travel to the various blocks in Brooklyn where a friend once lived. Along the way, we’ll share memories of our own, try to access pieces of her story, and think about the intersections between movement and narrative.
Our walk will begin at 1pm on the Coney Island bound platform of the Neptune Avenue F train stop. The entire journey will take at least 5 hours but please feel free to join us somewhere along the way by calling 917-402-0706. Bring snacks and water.
