Date: Friday, September 14th
Location: Monmouth University, West Long Branch New Jersey (Bey Hall, Room 230)
As part of the Glory Days Conference at Monmouth University, Moira Williams and Bess Matassa will present a walk entitled “Everything That Dies Some Day Comes Back: Walking Bruce’s Shoreline”. This walk explores Bruce’s specifically embodied and place-based memory work.
Starting at 12:15, we will be guiding the group in a participatory activity involving a mobile sandbox, Bruuuuce music and storytelling. After we craft our Bruce “memory maps” together, we will parade them down to the beach to bury them. The walk portion will leave the building around 12:30 and walk until we hit the shore!
